You're making the same mistake Hotpink did, which is thinking SG is some random "fledgling studio". There's plenty of aspects to compare, but start with their Patreon accounts. Hotpint currently has almost 700 patrons that they gathered for the past 3-4 years. SG now already has more than 800 patrons that grew in just a month.

Sure, HP could've done better for themselves if they didn't act harshly. But how HP behaved is who they are, there's no changing that. HP knows the potential of SG in the "tentacle locker" competition. So they got greedy and tried to absorb them and get an easy cash cow.

You're basically just throwing random stuff now here. LL is "the smaller project"? "Shut down Strange Girl studio entirely"? "exceptionally easy"? Their growth tells everything. "I can't stress enough how effortless it would have been to do that if they actually wanted to." Lol, just look at their itch complaint report, it's not effortless. It's more like desperate.

So far, you're literally the only one that even mentioned "programming" about this issue. Even HotPink didn't claim programming on their Itch.io report.

It is a common knowledge that Tentacle Locker and Lovecraft Locker are made from two separate game engines, which means two separate programming languages.

At least try to research harder about the stuff you claim, it's just embarrassing you're randomly throwing things in here.

This "dev community" likely influenced HotPink in the first place. Established names like RNGeusEX knows them on a personal level. It's not surprising that this "dev community" is hostile to new devs to control their dominance.

This is "nice". You've deleted your comments about this issue to prevent "confusion" but it will only lead to confusion ironically. You've also been deleting comments about LCL on TL and TL2 ever since the beginning, now that's "sour".

I was shocked when I read that hotpink deleted their comment. Here I thought everything was alright.

Not only that Lovecraft locker is arguably a better game in imo (tentacle locker has superior visuals tho), they also have consistently supported the Android version from the start and has been actively improving it as well recently to support more Android devices.

Hotpink approved them at the start. What's different now? LL is now popular? It's now a better game?

With Tentacle Locker 2 released now, after loitering around, it feels nice that Hotpink actually approved this project a few weeks/days once it was released.

 


Now I'm confident there wouldn't some kind of drama where since lovecraft locker is now getting popular, they want to take it down.

Tentacle Locker,  Tentacle Locker 2 and Lovecraft Locker are all amazing! To be honest, I even prefer to have more spin-offs and keep the tentacle locker trend going!

I mean, Slay the Spire, Minecraft, Undertale, Stardew Valley, and other games got a ton of clones, so I think it's something we all should just get accustomed with.
